Extra information

Other notes:

I will load your quilt on the frame as it best suits the quilt design, your backing and top measurements, as well as my frame measurements.

I will measure your quilt in four -five places in both directions – whatever that average is will be the measurement used along the way to ensure that your quilt is keeping square on the frame.

At times when quilting a quilt I find that there is extra ‘waves’ or ‘pouf’ in the borders or in the quilt top.  I will use steam, starch and other means to help the quilt to lay flat.  If the extra ‘waves’ or ‘pouf’ are too much to quilt out – I may have to correct with a small pleat – this will only be the case if we are using an all over design that lends itself to this.

I will always try my best to ensure that the backing is taunt – so to avoid any pleats in the backing – if the backing comes to me very wrinkled or not pressed it would be more subject to pleats – again I will work my best to avoid this situation!
